Josh Alley

Josh Alley is a postdoctoral research associate with the Democratic Statecraft Lab at the University of Virginia. He graduated with a PhD in political science at Texas A&M University in 2020. He was a Mercatus Oskar Morgenstern Fellow for the 2018-2019 academic year. His research interests include the relationship between political violence and economic processes, applying insights from political economy to questions in international security. Josh earned a BA in political science and international affairs from Gettysburg College.
