William Akoto

William Akoto is a PhD student in political science as well as a graduate instructional assistant in the department of political science at the University of South Carolina. His research interests fall under the domain of political economy, international organizations, conflict studies, and African politics with a current focus on the political economy of aid and debt relief programs. He holds an MCom in economics, a BCom in economics, and a BCom in computer science from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. William was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2016-2017 academic year.
