Trey Malone

Assistant Professor and Extension Economist, Michigan State University

Trey Malone is currently an assistant professor and extension economist in the department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics at Michigan State University. He earned his PhD in agricultural and applied economics at Oklahoma State University where he also earned his MS in agricultural economics. He also earned his BA from Rockhurst University in economics and Spanish. Trey’s research interests include behavioral/experimental economics, institutions, and food policy, with particular emphasis on how markets interact with behavioral anomalies. Trey was a Mercatus Center Frédéric Bastiat Fellow during the 2016-2017 academic year.
