Graedon Zorzi

Graedon Zorzi is a visiting fellow with the Mercatus Center’s Program on Pluralism and Civil Exchange. Dr. Zorzi is also Assistant Professor of Theology and Philosophy at Patrick Henry College, where he specializes in early modern moral, political, and religious thought. His research focuses on theological anthropology and the foundations of liberalism. 

Fellowship focus: 

  • Complete an academic journal article that elevates the ideas of John Locke as foundational to a liberal democratic republic  

  • Communicate to a post-liberal audience that to reform American institutions towards virtue, we need not dismiss Locke’s ideas, but rather re-center them to establish a more robust pluralism
