Samuel Hammond

Director of Poverty and Welfare Policy at the Niskanen Center

Samuel Hammond is currently the Director of Poverty and Welfare Policy at the Niskanen Center. He graduated from George Mason University with an MA in economics in 2017, St. Mary’s University with a BA in economics and from Carleton University with an MA in economics. While at George Mason University he was a Mercatus Center MA Fellow. His research interests include the political economics of the welfare state, aviation regulation, and social capital theory.
