Sagar Deshpande

Sagar Deshpande is a concurrent student at the University of Michigan as an MD student with a concentration in bioethics as well as at Harvard University as an MPP student in public policy. He is also a staff scientist at Strategic Analysis, Inc. His research interests include health policy, particularly the need for greater focus and attention on the systems-level inefficiencies that plague medicine, and health care practices, such as tissue engineering and reconstruction of bony defects in chronically non-healing patients. Sagar earned his BS from the University of Michigan with a dual major in English language and literature and molecular, cellular, and developmental biology. Sagar was a Mercatus Center Frédéric Bastiat fellow.
