Richard Ashcroft is a PhD student in political science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he is a graduate instructor in the Department of Political Science.  Richard earned an MA in political science from UC Berkley, an MA in theory and practice of human rights from the University of Essex, and a BA in theology from Oxford University.  He was also the Frank Kathy Baxter fellow at the Institute for Humane Studies. Richard was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2014-2015 academic year.
