Yujie Li

Yujie Li is a PhD student in history at the University of Chicago. Her research interests include the history of the bicycle in Maoist China, managerial and industrial organization in the planned economy, and the dynamics of purchases of bicycles by state work units and allocations of bicycles to households. Yujie earned an MA in arts administration from Columbia University, an MEng in fashion history from Tianjin Polytechnic Institute and a BEng in fashion engineering from Zhengzhou Textile Institute. She was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2018-2019 academic year.
