Xinwei Xu

Xinwei Xu is a PhD student in sociology at Cornell University. She is interested in understanding how migration, as a person choice and household strategy, results from individual response to changes in economic, political, and legal institutions; the social cost and benefit of immigration and the institutional response by corporates and unions; and the role of state in the migration process. She holds a BS in finance from Tianjin University. Xinwei was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2016-2017 academic year.
