Xin Han is a PhD student in public & international affairs at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research interests include Chinese and Asian development, rural communities, and decentralization, with an emphasis on state mobilization shaping community-based collective action and the mediation of these effects by informal institutions. Xin earned an MA in economics & management from Peking University and a BA in English and international politics from Shandong University.
