Usamah Wasif is a PhD student in economics at the University of New Mexico. His research interests include public, health, and education economics, with particular emphasis on the relationship between the incentives created by public assistance programs and the behavior of welfare recipients. Usamah earned an MA in economics from San Diego State University and a BA in accountancy and economics from the University of Aberdeen.
