Tam Kemabonta is a PhD student in Sustainable Energy at Arizona State University. He earned an MS in electrical engineering from University of St. Thomas and a BEng in electrical & electronic engineering from Covenant University. He was an Adam Smith Fellow during the 2022-2023 academic year. His research interests include the role of institutions in energy markets. Specifically, he focuses on how institutions affect entrepreneurs within the electric power sector in Sub-Saharan Africa and how institutions evolve to manage energy transition risks in the United States.
