Stone Washington is a PhD student in Public Policy and Public Administration at George Washington University. He earned a JM from Emory University and a BA in history from Clemson University. He was a Frédéric Bastiat Fellow during the 2022-2023 academic year and a Don Lavoie Fellow during the 2021-2022 academic year. His research interests include understanding why do some nonprofit interest groups more frequently succeed as amicus curiae but not others, why amici success rates vary among US Solicitors General, and why certain qualities in amicus briefs appeal to some Supreme Court Justices but not others.
