Stephen White is a PhD student in Computational Math, Science, and Engineering at the Michigan State University. He earned a BA in Computer Science, Math, & Philosophy from Spring Arbor University. He was an Oskar Morgenstern Fellowship during the 2022-2023 academic year. His research explores mathematical methods used to simulate plasmas, with a focus on proving certain methodological features, such as preservation of phase space volume and energy conservation, and demonstrating its ability to handle nontrivial geometries such as an A6 magnetron.
