Safiya St. Clair is a PhD student in Global Governance and Human Security at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Her research interests include peace processes, restorative justice, victims' law, and local agency within a post-conflict context. Her dissertation investigates how local, women-led NGOs build peace and enhance gender justice in Colombia. Safiya earned an MSc in Mediation Studies and a BA in Communication Studies and Spanish from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.
