Ricardo Bello-Gomez is a PhD candidate in Public Affairs at the O'Neill School of Environmental and Public Affairs (former SPEA), Indiana University. He studies public management, intergovernmental relations and organization theory. His research interests include the capacity, role and quality of government, and of governance systems more generally. In his dissertation, Ricardo explores the oft-neglected administrative dimension of decentralization in multi-level governance and performance.  Using several approaches from macro-level institutional analysis to micro-level behavioral experiments., he looks at the interactive effect of national and subnational bureaucracies, and the effect of local executive decision-making on social service provision in Colombia. Personal website: ricardobellogomez.com
