Qi Song is a PhD student in sociology at Northwestern University. Her research interests include examining how platforms redefine transactional rules and the effects of technology-facilitated matchmaking processes on the work of traditional brokers. Her dissertation studies the impacts of the platform economy on traditional industries. Qi earned an MS in statistics from Northwestern University and an MA in sociology and a BA in sociology from Tsinghua University.
