Philip Bunn is a PhD student in political science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests include the political and economic thought of Adam Smith, Alexis de Tocqueville, and John Stuart Mill, particularly the technological threats to liberty each thinker saw in their own time and the potential utility for their thought to our discourse surrounding technology today. Philip earned a BA in government from Patrick Henry College. He was a Mercatus Center Don Lavoie Fellow during the spring 2021 semester.
