Nick Jacobs is a PhD student in government at the University of Virginia. His research interests include presidential governance and how institutional developments in the executive branch have altered the distribution of governing authority across local, state, and federal  governments. Nick earned an MA in government from the University of Virginia and a BA in political science from the University of Mary Washington. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2017-2018 academic year.
