Nathaniel Burke is an assistant professor of economics and experimental economics research lab director at the University of West Virginia. His research interests include the impact of individual identities and biases on outcomes regarding education, labor, and policy impacts. Burke earned a PhD and an MA in economics from the University of Arkansas, an MS in resource and applied economics from the University of Alaska, a BA in economics from Manhattan College and an AAS in intelligence operations from Cochise College. He was a Mercatus Frédéric Bastiat fellow during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 academic years, a Mercatus Visiting Dissertation fellow during the 2020-21 academic year, and a Mercatus James Buchanan fellow in 2022.
