Min-hyeok Kim is a PhD student in political science at Indiana University, Bloomington. His research interests include the intellectual history of liberalism in post-war Japan (1945-1960), especially on Japanese post-war liberals' efforts to establish a democratic political system by selectively appropriating key ideas of western liberalism. Min-hyeok earned an MA and a BA in political science from Seoul National University.
