Merve Burnazoglu is a PhD student in economics at Utrecht University. Her research interests include philosophy and the methodology of economics applied to migration and integration. Her dissertation is titled, "Migrating Identities: Models, Measures, and Institutions" and it investigates how migration and integration are modeled, measured, and how the policies regarding these are designed. Merve earned an MS in economics from Aix-Marseille University, an MA in economics and philosophy from Bayreuth University and a BA in economics from University of Strasbourg. She was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith Fellow during the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years.
