Marion Lougheed is a PhD student in social anthropology at York University. Her research interests include nationalisms, belonging, identities, and nation-state interventions. Her dissertation examines how adolescents at an international school map and negotiate their identities and relationships in local, national, and international communities, against the backdrop of rising right-wing populism and neonationalism in Germany. Marion earned an MA in anthropology from Simon Fraser University and a BA in social & cultural anthropology from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
