Luke Foster

Luke Foster is a PhD candidate at the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago. His research focuses on educational theory as political philosophy, examining the claims of the nineteenth-century American liberal arts college to provide its students with moral formation. He graduated in 2015 from Columbia University where he studied English and history, and served as the first Director of Operations of the Elm Institute from 2015-2016. Luke was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 academic years.
