Laura Montenovo is a PhD student in public affairs at Indiana University, Bloomington. Her research interests include labor market flexibility and its effects on unemployment, with particular emphasis on unemployment’s relation to mortality and the impact of pension reforms on voter behavior. Laura earned an MS in economics from Bocconi University, and a BA in economics from Georgia State University. She was a Mercatus Center Don Lavoie fellow during the spring 2021 semester.
