Keith Jakee

Associate Professor of Economics, Wilkes Honors College, Florida Atlantic University

Keith Jakee is an associate professor of economics in the Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University. Keith earned his PhD in economics from George Mason University and was a Mercatus Center PhD Fellow. Prior to his current role, he was a senior lecturer at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, a lecturer in the Department of Economics at Monash University, a postdoctoral research scholar at the City University of Stockholm, Sweden, and visiting lecturer at University College Cork, in Ireland. Prior to completing his PhD, he received a Fulbright Fellowship to conduct research while visiting Uppsala University in Sweden. 

His research interests are in modern political economy, entrepreneurship, and applied microeconomics focusing on empirical industrial organization and regulatory issues. His research in political economy focuses primarily on the institutional aspects of the redistributive welfare state and the analysis of compulsory voting rules.
