Katharine Ransom is a PhD student in transformative studies/feminist economics at the California Institue of Integral Studies. Her research interests include the viability of matristic or matrilineal forms of social organization and their attendant characteristics as an alternative form of socio-economic organization to modern capitalism. Katharine earned an MBA in economics from Southern New Hampshire University and a BA in economics from Ithaca College.
