Jonathan Madison is a DPhil student in global and imperial history at the University of Oxford. His research interests include the global history of democracy, and in particular, the democratization process in Brazil and the United States of America from 1930-1970. Jonathan earned an MA in Latin American and hemispheric studies from The George Washington University and a BA in history from the University of Utah. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2019-2020 academic year.
