Jesse Velay-Vitow is a PhD student in atmospheric physics at the University of Toronto. His research interests include paleoclimate evolution with a focus on ice-ocean interactions and ice stream destabilization, with additional interests in climate policy and the economics of scientific research. Jesse earned an MS in climate physics from the University of Toronto and a BS in theoretical & mathematical physics from Simon Fraser University. He was a Mercatus Center Don Lavoie Fellow during the fall 2020 semester and an Oskar Morgenstern Fellow during the 2019-2020 academic year.
