Adam Smith Fellow

Jaime Carini is pursuing a Ph.D. in musicology and a D.M. in organ performance and literature at Indiana University Bloomington. Her research interests include the roles of artisanship and design in political economy and the impact of legal institutions upon economic, artistic, and expressive freedom. Jaime earned an MM in musicology and an MM in organ performance from the University of Oklahoma as well as a BM in piano performance and music theory from the University of Tulsa. Ms. Carini received a 2020–2021 Ostrom fellowship from The Vincent and Elinor Ostrom Workshop in Political Economy, Indiana University Bloomington. She was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2017-2018 and 2019-2020 academic years and a Mercatus Center Frédéric Bastiat fellow during the 2018-2019 academic year.
