Jacob Bruggeman is a PhD student in history at Johns Hopkins University. His research interests include historical shifts in U.S. political economy through intellectual movements and cultural forms from roughly 1850 to the present, with a focus on the Midwest. Jacob earned an M.Phil in history from University of Cambridge and an MA in political science and a BA in history and political science from Miami University.
