Holly Stephens

Holly Stephens is a postdoctoral fellow in the history department at Yale University. She earned her PhD in history at the University of Pennsylvania. Her primary fields of interest include Korean history, Japanese history, and comparative economic and labor history. Holly’s research examines state intervention in the rural economy in Korea during the late 1800s to early 1900s. She holds an MA in Korean studies from Yonsei University and a BA in Japanese studies, with first class honors, from the University of Durham. Holly was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2016-2017 academic year.
