Hikoyat Salimova

PhD Student, HafenCity University

Hikoyat Salimova is a PhD student in urban planning at HafenCity University. Her research focuses on the economic development of cities and villages with a specific focus on the post-Soviet transformation of Tashkent bazaars and their influence on economic development in the city, country, and region. She holds an MA in urban and regional planning at Ball State University and a BS in business management and education, with honors, from Bukhara Technological Institute. Hikoyat was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2016-2017 academic year.
