Hannah Tucker is a PhD student in history at the University of Virginia and a Mercatus Visiting Dissertation fellow. Her research interests include how political and firm level incentives influenced the market actors who shaped international trading systems in the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Hannah earned a BA in history and economics from the College of William and Mary. She was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2017-2018 academic year.
