Gregory Caskey

PhD Fellow

Gregory W. Caskey is a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Department of Economics at George Mason University, and a Graduate Fellow in the F.A. Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Greg’s research focuses on applied microeconomics, specializing in development, public choice, and Austrian economics. His dissertation research is focused upon the role of China in the developing world, particularly the political economy of China’s Belt and Road Initiative as well as China's domestic ethnic policies. His work has been published in the Journal of Markets & MoralityBusiness Ethics Quarterly, and The Independent Review.
