Ghita Chraibi is a PhD student in Politics at the University of Virginia. She earned an MPP from the University of Oxford, and a BA in International Studies and a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. She was an Adam Smith Fellow during the 2022-2023 academic year. Her research interests include the political economy of financial technology, in particular the legal origins theory for regulatory responses to financial innovation, crypto-assets, and the impact of specific regulatory responses on various outcomes such as financial inclusion, financial development, and customer protection.
