Emily Amburgey

Emily Amburgey is a PhD student in anthropology at the University of British Columbia. Her research interests include how marginalized identities are generated and evolve as well as the implications for these dynamics on cultural friction and global conflict. Emily earned an MA in international development studies from the University of Amsterdam and a BA in anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2017-2018 academic year.
