Eloy Fisher is the chief economist and director for economic and financial advisory at Comptroller General of the Republic of Panama, as well as a visiting assistant professor and research fellow at The Santa Maria La Antigua Catholic University of Panama. He is also the founder and CEO of AguaClara Consultants and Ventures. He earned his PhD in economics at the New School for Social Research, concentrating in econometrics and macroeconomics. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2013-2014 academic year. He earned an MA in economics and finance from Fordham University, an MBA cum laude and bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in law and political science from Santa Maria La Antigua Catholic University, and a licentiate with sigma lamda honors in sociology from the University of Panama.
