Eleni Galata-Bickell is a PhD student in agricultural and applied economics at the University of Missouri. She is also a research assistant at the Food Equation Insitute and manages the Economics and Agro-Biotechnologies Center. Her research focuses on new technologies in agriculture and food. She earned her MSc in business economics and marketing from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chainia and her B.Sc. in international and European economic and political studies at the University of Macedonia. Eleni’s research interests include mass media analysis of agrobiotechnologies, science communication, cross country GMO regulation, and fusing the connections of science and society, technology and agriculture. Eleni was a Mercatus Center Frédéric Bastiat fellow.
