David Aratuo is a PhD student in peace and conflict studies at George Mason University. His research interest includes the political economy of natural resources (particularly exhaustible and non-renewable natural resources) and how they shape peace, conflict, and development in host countries. David earned an MSc in agriculture & natural resources from West Virginia University, an MA in development studies (specializing in conflict, reconstruction, and human security) from the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam, and a BBA in human resource management from Valley View University.
