Danny Roddy is a PhD candidate in history at the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include the history of the Spanish Empire, diplomacy, dynastic politics, gender, and political culture. His dissertation traces the gradual transformation of the Habsburg monarchy's approach to marriage diplomacy in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Danny earned an MA in history from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in history from the University of California, Los Angeles.
