Dan Shahar is a research assistant professor of philosophy, politics & economics at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He earned his PhD in philosophy at the University of Arizona. Previously, he was a fellow at the Arizona Center for the Philosophy of Freedom, and a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2013-2014 and 2015-2016 academic years. His research focuses primarily on environmental philosophy and its intersections with liberal political philosophy, normative ethics, and political economy.
