Carolyn Coles is a PhD student in criminology, law & society at the University of California, Irvine. Her research interests include mixed methods analysis of practice and policy in American law enforcement as well as their social consequences. Carolyn earned an MA in international & intercultural communication from the University of Denver and a BS in marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University. She was a Mercatus Center Don Lavoie Fellow during the spring 2021 semester.
