Brian P. Simpson is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Finance at National University. He earned his PhD in economics from George Mason University in 2000 and was a Mercatus Center PhD Fellow. His interests include market process theory (or free-market economics), monetary economics, the philosophical foundations of economic ideas, economic history, and the history of economic thought.
