Brian Marein is a PhD student in economics at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research interests include economic history, economic geography, and migration. His dissertation explores the economic development of Puerto Rico after US annexation. He is also studying the migration of Puerto Ricans to the mainland United States in the decades following World War II. Brian earned a BS in economics and Spanish from The Ohio State University.
