Benjamin Ogden

Assistant Professor of Political Science, Texas A&M University

Benjamin Ogden is an assistant professor of political science at Texas A&M University. Previously, Benjamin was a postdoctoral fellow in the European Centre for Advanced Research in Economics and Statistics at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He earned his PhD in economics at Boston University.  Benjamin’s research interests focus on microeconomic theory, with particular emphasis on applications to the analysis of political and legal institutions, as well as the role of these institutions in economic outcomes and development. He is especially interested in the impact which uncertainty has on coordination within these institutions. He earned his MA in political economy from Boston University and earned his BA in Economics and Government from Colby College.  Benjamin was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 academic years.
