Andrew Lichter is a PhD student in philosophy at the University of Arizona. His research interests include a variety of topics in moral and political philosophy, especially directed duties and their place in practical reasoning, as well the nature of and basis of morally significant social practices such as promising, property and the law. Andrew earned an MA in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a BA in philosophy from Tulane University. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2019-2020 academic year.
