Andrew "AJ" McKeown

Economist, U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee

Andrew "AJ" McKeown is an alumnus of the Mercatus Center MA Fellowship at George Mason University. He is currently an economist for the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee and publishes a daily economic and policy newsletter. Previously he served as an economist for the Committee on Ways and Means of the US House of Representatives. Andrew received a BS in civil engineering from Clarkson University.  Prior to becoming a Mercatus MA Fellow, Andrew worked at Web Seal Inc. as a project manager, the coordinator of shipping and receiving (and was known to discuss the works and ideas of Smith, Hayek, Friedman, etc. on his lunch breaks).  His research interests are regulations and their effects on society.
