Andres Mendez Ruiz

Andres Mendez Ruiz is a PhD student in economics at The University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include industrial organization, energy economics, and environmental economics; and, in particular, analyzing the relationship between market structure and and firms' joint midstream infrastructure investments in the oil and gas industry, in the presence of transaction costs and externalities. Andres earned an MS in econometrics from the University of Amsterdam, an MS in economics from El Colegio de México and a BA in philosophy from the University of Guadalajara.
