Alice Calder is a PhD student in economics at University of New South Wales. Her research interests include the influence of culture, attitudes, and policy on labor market decisions, taking a cross-disciplinary approach that encompasses economics, sociology, and politics, particularly, the role of gender and non-traditional work. Alice earned an MA in economics from George Mason University and a BA in philosophy from University of Exeter. She was a Mercatus Center MA Fellow during the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years.
